We believe transparency is the foundation of credible climate action. Here are the questions we get most often — answered honestly.

Isn't this just greenwashing?
We understand the concern — the market is full of vague, unverifiable claims. Green Circle is different: we show our benchmarks publicly, apply a clear safety margin above typical emissions, define the scope of every program transparently, and avoid overclaims like "carbon-free" or "net-zero guaranteed." You can verify everything we say.
Is this a full Scope 1–3 lifecycle assessment?
No — and we are honest about that. Green Circle programs cover a clearly defined scope: employees, vehicles, or digital assets. They are not a full organisational lifecycle analysis. What they are is a credible, documented, and immediately usable first step — which is exactly what most SMEs need.
Cars don't emit 5 tonnes per year. Why do you neutralise that much?
You are correct that typical driving emits around 1.5–2 tonnes per vehicle per year. We intentionally neutralise 5 tonnes — a clear safety margin that accounts for additional lifecycle emissions and protects you from overclaiming. The excess is a feature, not an error.
Electric vehicles don't emit CO₂ — why should I neutralise them?
Electric vehicles have no tailpipe CO₂ emissions, but their overall climate impact depends on electricity generation and lifecycle factors including manufacturing and battery production. Our transport program covers all vehicle types equally — one price, one certificate, no exceptions.
Why do you only neutralise once per year?
We consolidate all customer contributions and offset collectively once per year during Q1. This allows us to support larger, higher-impact certified projects rather than many small fragmented ones — delivering stronger environmental results and better value for every customer.
Can I choose which climate projects to support?
All customers participate in a shared portfolio of certified global projects by default — this keeps costs low and maximises impact through scale. Companies with more than 100 employees can request customised, project-specific solutions. Contact us to discuss.
Are you certified by the EU or UN?
We do not claim government certification — and we never will unless we have it. What we do claim: participation in certified global sustainability initiatives verified to Gold Standard and Verra VCS. These are the two most rigorous internationally recognised standards for carbon project verification.
What happens after I pay?
Within 24 hours you receive your Certificate of Carbon Neutrality, all logos and badges, and your social media images — digitally, ready to use immediately. Your Green Circle contact checks in during the year and reviews your scope before renewal. No waiting, no admin.
